Temp Keller, Founder and Board Chairman
Temp has been building RISE since the summer of 2000. He previously taught fifth grade at the East Palo Alto Charter School in East Palo Alto, CA, where he now serves on the school's Advisory Board. Temp received his B.A. in Politics from Princeton University and his Masters in Business Administration from The University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
Kristyn Klei
Kristyn is the principal of Berkley Maynard, an elementary school in Oakland, California, who is also pursuing her PhD in Education from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduating magna cum laude from Miami University and receiving her Masters in Education from Xavier University, Kristyn obtained a California administrative credential through Santa Clara University and Xavier University.
Tom McConnon
Tom McConnon is a Vice President at the Texas Pacific Group, a San Francisco-based private equity investment firm. Prior to joining TPG, Tom worked for Bain Capital, a Boston-based private equity investment firm, and the Boston Consulting Group, a management consultancy. He began his career as a policy planning attache for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He received an M.B.A. from Stanford University and an A.B. from Harvard College.
John Rosenberg
John is a Principal at Technology Crossover Ventures in Palo Alto, CA. Prior to joining TCV, John was a Business Development Manager at WeddingChannel.com where he focused on strategic development and financial reporting activities. Previously, John was an Analyst in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Robertson Stephens & Company where he worked on mergers & acquisitions and public equity offerings. John received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University. He currently serves on the Board of RJ O’Brien.
Greg Stanger
Greg is a venture partner at Technology Crossover Ventures and a private investor. Prior to joining TCV in 2003, he served as CFO and director of Expedia, Inc. from 1999 to 2003. He led the company's successful IPO in 1999, the 2002 sale of Microsoft's majority interest in the company to USA Networks and the 2003 sale of the remaining public shares to USA's successor, InterActiveCorp, in a transaction that valued the company at more than $9 billion. Earlier, Mr. Stanger held a senior role in corporate development at Microsoft Corp. and worked in investment banking at PaineWebber. He currently serves as a director of Drugstore.com, Netflix, Global Market Insite and Infovell and until recently he also served on the board of Nextag. He is a graduate of Williams College and the Haas School of Business at UC, Berkeley.
Harry Weiner
Harry Weiner is a founding Partner of On-Ramps (www.on-ramps.com), an NYC-based national search firm focused on the social sector. Prior to On-Ramps, Harry was a Partner and Managing Director at Glocap Search, the largest alternative asset search firm in the country. Harry is also a co-founder and Director of the Kalai Foundation (www.kalai.org), a not-for-profit organization that raises money for education in Africa. Harry received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
